I'm not going to lie, thrillers of any and all kind give me the heebie jeebies. I'm the kind of girl who goes into a haunted house expecting something to jump out at me and still screams bloody murder when it does. However, I'm excited to see the new play 7th Monarch at the Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row.
The plot revolves around Miriam, who has a photographic memory...and a secret she needs to forget. Miriam, a math prodigy who was on the fast track to becoming an astronaut, has been living in seclusion with her parents for the past 20 years. When Raina, a criminal investigator, knocks on her door seeking the parents, Miriam offers an inconceivable explanation for their disappearance. Jarring discoveries are soon revealed as the two women struggle to overcome their own personal tragedies.

My favorite thriller "The Man Who Knew Too Much" because it's Hitchcock, because of the photography, and because of the song "Que Sera Sera"

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thriller is The Runaway Jury by John Grisham. It's a nifty suspense-filled story, I've read this book about half a dozen times, and every time, it pulls me in.
