AWESOME GIVEAWAY: Coffee and Tea Festival Admission

Some say you can't be a New Yorker without some sort of caffeine addiction. Well, I have managed two and half years without one, but I do like my coffee and my tea. So I'm planning on indulging in a little caffeine goodness over President's Day weekend at the annual Coffee and Tea Festival.

Featuring purveyors and fellow hot drink fiends from all over, this festival is sure to be a blast. Last year, I sampled all sorts of goodies, which was perfect for a blustery winter weekend. It was at this festival that I became obsessed with Harney & Sons teas and scooped up a bunch of samples to take home. The schedule also includes lectures, demos and classes that are included with your admission. I remember attending a tea-infused desserts session complete with good-portioned samples for all. Lastly, the first 1,000 to attend each day will receive a goodie bag!

The event runs Saturday-Sunday February 19-20 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the 7West Event space located at 7 West 34th Street. You can buy your tickets here

  11. I heard about this contest on twitter, and I want to go to this because I've always been a huge tea fan. The one thing I haven't found in NYC is a nice, reasonably priced tea house where I ca sit and sip for hours. As a result, I've become quite addicted to coffee. I'd take my best friend and fellow coffee/tea lover. kmjones3@gmail

  15. I would love to go to the event because last year I attended the Tea Expo in Las Vegas. I am from California and just moved to New York and still trying to figure out local spots with good tea and a welcoming atmosphere. As for the Vegas event, It was SUCH an amazing experience and I would love to go to another event like that on the East Coast. I thought I knew a lot about tea, but boy, was I wrong! It was great visiting with vendors and seeing the new blends and products out there. I really would enjoy attending the various workshops (especially cooking with tea-yum!), watch a tea ceremony, and try some tea cocktails.

Upon making new friends, I have become an advocate for tea- getting my friends to try different blends and just educating them on tea in general. They were hesitant at first, but that has changed! I would bring the person who was the most skeptical about tea, who ironically sent me this link. I want to show them the world of tea, I think they will thoroughly enjoy it!

  19. I just moved to New York to attend college and, like most sleep-deprived college students, am a total and utter coffee addict. A weekend surrounded by the brew sounds like heaven! I've also started drinking a lot more tea (especially loose leaf) so that's exciting as well.

I found out about the contest on twitter, and I would bring my roommate so we could bond over coffee and tea love.
